Meral Kamenova |
Master of Law from the Southwestern University "Neofit Rilski" in Blagoevgrad. She has specializations and qualifications in the field of financial control and internal audit, detection of irregularities and fraud with European funds, combating crimes against the financial interests of the EU, tender manipulations in public procurement, etc. She participated in an international conference organized within the framework of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU, on the topic "Challenges for control bodies in protecting public financial interests". Participated in a workshop on the inspection of the Republic of Bulgaria under the Second Round of the Review of the Implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption with expert assessors from Armenia, Norway and representatives of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Guest lecturer at the University of National and World Economy, Institute of Public Administration and the School of Public Finance. Meral Kamenova joined the State Financial Inspection Agency’s Legal Support Directorate as a senior legal advisor in January 2011 after winning a competition. Since April 2018, she has been working as a head of department in the Legal Directorate. In 2026, she will assume the position of Director of the Legal Directorate. She is fluent in English. |
